Security was my top priority. I really like that the key overrides the combination. I’ve read about combination locks potentially being defeated with magnets, but even if that’s possible, having the physical key as a backup gives me real peace of mind. It feels like an extra layer of protection rather than relying on just one system.
Design and build quality are solid. Despite a few reviews mentioning cosmetic issues, mine arrived securely packaged with no dents or scratches at all. It’s definitely heavy — getting it into position wasn’t easy — but that weight speaks to its construction. Once in place, it feels sturdy and well-built. The programming process for the combination was straightforward and easy to understand, even without being overly technical.
Value for money is where this safe really stands out for me. I previously owned a cheaper safe and assumed it was secure. After a break-in, I learned the hard way how easily it could be pried open with a crowbar the thieves found in my own garage. They simply forced the side with the bolts and the door popped open. That experience changed my perspective completely. With this safe, unless I’m missing something, that kind of attack doesn’t seem likely. The thickness and overall construction feel far more robust.
When you tap or hit the side, it sounds solid — not hollow or flimsy. The metal feels thick, and the entire unit gives off a sense of durability and strength.
Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It feels secure, well-designed, and worth the investment. I highly recommend it, and I genuinely have no negatives to report.
