Intex Mid-Rise Air Mattress Bed with Built-in Pump Review

I’ve gone through a few airbeds over the years, and most of them ended the same way — tiny leaks, constant patch jobs, and that slow midnight deflation that ruins your sleep. One of the more expensive brands I tried didn’t even make it past three months before developing holes. I was regularly hunting for air leaks and sealing them with glue, which got old fast.

I’ve been using it for over a year now — about fourteen months of normal nightly use — and it still hasn’t developed a single hole. That alone says a lot about the material quality. The fabric feels thick and durable, and the seams seem well reinforced. It genuinely feels like it was built to last, not just to survive a few camping trips.

The built-in pump is another solid feature. Interestingly, it can be detached without damaging the bed. I’m not entirely sure why you’d need to remove it — maybe for cleaning the mattress without risking the electrical components — but it’s a thoughtful design choice. Recently, I noticed it started deflating slightly overnight, going down to about three-quarters full by morning. There were no visible punctures, so I checked the pump compartment and found that one of the rubber plugs had loosened over time. After adjusting it, the issue seems to be resolved. It felt more like minor maintenance than a product failure.

Comfort-wise, it’s surprisingly good. When fully inflated, it feels solid in a supportive way, yet it still contours just enough to your body to make sleeping genuinely comfortable. It doesn’t have that overly bouncy or saggy feel that many airbeds do.

I actually found this specific brand and model through recommendations on Reddit after my previous bad experience. A lot of people were praising its durability and build quality — and now I completely understand why. Based on my experience, I’d absolutely recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again if I ever needed another one.
